Rev. S. David Moore shares with us about his preparation for the three days of Pastoral Trainings. (Kisii, Kenya-September, 2017)
“Not only does our Pastoral Leadership Training minister the pure and edifying Logos Word of God, it carries a Fresh Rhema Word of Encouragement to the Church and each Under-Shepherd receives a Blessing- (Strong's Hebrew Lexicon H1288 – Barak is mentioned 330 Times in the Bible and means to kneel; to bless as an act of adoration- God Knelt down and “breathed (spoke a blessing) into his nostrils- the breath of life; and man became a living being (Soul)- Genesis 2:7.")- they receive a Kingdom Commissioning and a Prophetic Word (II Peter 1:21) to release life into their destiny and purpose. Many oppressions and a spirit of heaviness break off inciting joy, strength and dunamis power back into the Church and a warrior ethos in its Servants. God is taking the keys to His house back and Restoring it in the Spirt and Power of Elijah- Mark 9:11 and Malachi 4:6. They will be specifically challenged in outreach by James 1: 27 ‘Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” - Rev. S David Moore
God did a lot of Creative Blessings in the first Dispensation of the church called ‘The Age of Innocence’, from the creation of Adam and Eve until they fell into sin. (Gen 1:22) “God blessed (H1288) them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” The First Embodiment of this Type of Blessing (Genesis 2:7 H1288) was God kneeling over the created but inert dust of Adam who is but lifeless until God performs the first mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and then Adam springs to life! (Michelangelo's ‘Creation of Adam’ is one of the most replicated religious paintings of all time, illustrates this Blessing of Life from Gods Breath with the fingers of God and Adam touching.)
When God knelt and breathed into Adam, the infusion of His spirit in man occurred. That is what made man in the image of God! That is what gave man the power to have dominion and authority. It gave man the intellect he needed to rule over what God has created. We carry the image of God! Man was given the power to govern his actions by conceptualization and thinking with reason. A man can expressly reason above an animal in terms of love or hate, and above all the emotions that fall in between. When God created us in His Image we can create and destroy with our very words.
The Second Embodiment of this Type of Blessing (Genesis 2:7 H1288) was man was created in the likeness of God and given the right (free-will) to choose his own words, speak them, and there by decree not only our current circumstance but declare our eternal destiny. The Bible says in (Proverbs 18:21)“the tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit”. Look what God said in (Deuteronomy 30:19) "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before your life and death, the blessing and the curse. So, choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, 20by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."…
God shows very clearly “But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." -Matthew 12:36-3. Oh my, how many careless words have I spoken in my lifetime. Dozens? Hundreds? Thousands? A “careless word” in this context is a word spoken rashly or carelessly without thought as to whether it is pleasing to the Lord or not. It may have been spoken in anger, or excitement, or exasperation, or under pressure, or in ignorance. The Scriptures warn, “This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.” (James 1:19-20).
The Accumulation of His Character
The Gospel is Good news but only when we obey it. If not – disobedience is bad news. Why is God so particular about every careless word we have ever spoken? Because we are created in His Image and He gave us according to Proverbs 18: 21 ‘Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.’ The same Blessing of Life that Christ used to Create Man from dust into His Image, is the Same Blessing of Life that rose Christ from the dead! There is Power is our words. Romans 8:11 “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”
Did you know we are held accountable for every idle word we utter? “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” (NKJV) Matthew 12:35-37
The Power of Your Words
Jesus says that our words reveal the type of heart we have. The good heart of a Christian will bring forth good words and an evil heart speaks forth evil – Blessings and curses.
Again, Jesus speaking, says what is in the heart comes out of the heart — good or evil. It is not what we eat or drink that defiles a man, it is what comes out of his mouth that brings life or death. There is power in your words and they are backed by all of heaven that come out of your mouth. “But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. These are the things which defile the man . . .” (Matthew 15:18-20)
